Carefully remove the product from the package and make
sure that all the parts are included by referencing the
package contents.
Verify that the battery tag has been removed so that the
battery can make contact with contact points. This will allow
for the unit to turn on and change during the day.
Charge the solar panel (DD) for at least 6 hours by exposing
the solar panel (AA) face to sunlight.
Choose the best location for your solar panel (DD).
Install the light bulbs (BB). Make sure the bulbs (BB) are tightly
installed for proper contact and to prevent moisture
from getting into the sockets.
For best results, select a location with full and direct
sunlight. If installed in a shady area, the battery will
take a longer time to charge, may not fully charge
and reduce working hours.
Operating time should be up to 6 hours with full
charge. For optimal performance at night, the solar
panel (DD) should receive approximately 8 hours of
sunlight per day.
Do not install near night-time light sources such as
porch lights or street lights. These light sources may
cause the unit to turn off because of the built-in dusk
to dawn sensor on the solar panel (DD).
Once the solar panel (DD) is charged, test the unit before
hanging. Connect the string light cord (AA) to 8.5 ft. solar
panel cable (CC) and connect 8.5 ft. solar panel cable (CC) to
solar panel (DD). Press power button to turn on set. If any
bulb (BB) does not light, tighten the bulb (BB) further.
The Solar Panel (DD) has a built in timer.
Toggle Right - Auto On: Turn On at dusk , turns Off after
6 hours or at dawn, whichever comes first.
Toggle Left - Manual On: Turns On. Lights will turn Off
until battery discharges. When the battery discharges and
is under sunlight, the battery will begin to charge. You
must switch to “Auto On” so the light will be under night
mode an work properly.
