IP Filtering
Go to
Access Management > Filter
to block some packets form WAN. The router provides extensive
firewall protection by restricting connection parameters to limit the risk of intrusion and defending
against a wide array of common hacker attacks. The user can set different IP filter rules of a given
protocol (TCP, UDP or ICMP) and a specific direction (incoming, outgoing, or both) to filter the packets.
Filter Type

IP/MAC Filter Set Editing
• IP/MAC filter Set Index:
This is item number.
• Interface:
Select which channel (PVC) to configure.
• Direction:
Select the access to the Internet (

) or from the Internet (
“Incoming”

Both.
IP/MAC Filter Rule Editing
• IP/MAC Filter Rule Index:
This is item number.
• Rule Type:
Choose “IP” or “MAC” rules.
• Active:
Select
Yes
from the drop down list box to enable IP filter rule.
• Source IP Address:
The source IP address or range of packets to be monitored.
