Operating Instruction
Available networks:
This list contains all wireless LAN networks within range. To update this list, click
“Update”.
The list displays SSID, MAC address, signal strength, channel used, encoding and network type of the
available
networks.
SSID:
This fi eld displays the SSID of the network the camera is connected to.
Channel:
In the Adhoc mode, you can select the wireless LAN channel you want to use here. In the Infrastructure
mode, this is automatically defi ned by the wireless LAN router
Transfer rate:
Defi ne the max. transfer rate of the wireless LAN connection here. We recommend using
“Auto”
as the
value: the camera then always uses the maximum possible transfer rate.
Safety settings:
Select the safety setting you want. This has to match the setting of the WLAN router.
Possible
settings:
– None
– Open System
– Shared key (WEP)
– WPA-PSK
– WPA2-PSK
Encryption:
The encryption to be used is displayed here. When you select a WLAN router or Access Point from the list
of available networks, the system automatically displays the encryption used by the selected WLAN
network.
WPA pre-shared key:
Enter the WPA key of the network to be used. This fi eld is active only for WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK.
WEP key length:
Now select the WEP key length you want. Possible options: 64 bit or 128 bit.
WEP key format:
Select the format of the WPA key. Possible options: HEX or ASCII.

Default keys:
Defi ne the default key to be used for WEP connections. You can select from key 1 to key 4.
Key 1:
Enter the WEP key of the network that you want to connect the camera to.
Key 2 – Key 4:
You can use these 3 fi elds to enter other WEP keys.
Confi rm your settings by clicking
Apply.
