Functional description
The positioning clamping pins are exclusively intended for quick clamping, fixing,
adjusting, replacing, securing and high-precision positioning of two components or
fixtures.
The Positioning clamping pin (article group EH 23111) consist of the following
components:
–
Sleeve
–
Spindle
–
Bolt
–
Spring
–
Balls (4 pcs.)
–
O-ring
–
Circlip
–
Removable handle
Using either the hexagon socket or the removable handle, the spindle is screwed into the
positioning clamping pin until it comes to a stop. This preloads the spring and presses it
against the bolt. The balls are pushed out due to the slope of the bolt. The balls cannot
fall out of the sleeve because the ball holes are caulked.
The positioning clamping pin is released in the opposite direction. The spindle is screwed
out of the positioning clamping pin until it reaches the stop. The stop is formed by the
circlip. This releases the tension of the spring completely and the bolt is pushed back by
the force acting on the balls when the positioning clamping pin is pulled out.
The O-ring serves to create a low resistance between the positioning clamping pin and
the bore of the counterpart.
