Listening to a CD
To listen to a CD:
o
Press the Source button (8) on the front
panel of the SSP180/220, and rotate the
volume control (12) to select the source
with the CD player connected to it
(source 7 to 10).
Alternatively, use the UTSR1 and enter
the SSP menu page 2, to select the
source with the CD player connected to
it.
o
Once the CD player is shown on the
display (4), wait approximately five seconds
for the source to be selected.
o
Place a CD into the CD player and
press play.
You should hear sound through your
speakers. Use the SSP180/220 volume
control (12) on the front panel (or UTSR1) to
adjust the volume.

To watch a video:
o

the VCR connected to it (source 1 to 6).
Alternatively, use the UTSR1 and enter
the SSP menu page 2, to select the
source with the VCR connected to it.
o
Once the VCR is shown on the display
(4), wait approximately five seconds for the
source to be selected.
o
Insert a tape into the VCR and press
play.
You should see a picture on the TV
monitor/projector and hear sound through
your speakers. Use the SSP180/220 volume
control (12) on the front panel (or UTSR1) to
adjust the volume.
Note: The SSP180/220 allows you to enter
information about the size, distance and how
many speakers you have in your system. To
ensure you experience the best quality audio,
refer to the speaker setup information on
page 43.
