REVERSIBLE FAN

The Reversible Fan is hydraulically driven

via the constant pitch fan hydraulic motor,
which in turn, is driven by the hydraulic
pump. The system’s hydraulic pump is driven
directly off engine-supplied PTO (power
take-off) to efficiently draw power
independent of engine speed. An electrically-
controlled proportional pressure control
valve (FDC - Fan Drive Control mounted to
pump) modulates fan speed depending on
machine’s cooling demand. On-demand
operator input controls the fan reversing
option to provide the operator the ability to
purge debris from the cooling package
shroud.

NOTE: The fan system reduces power and

fuel consumption of the engine when
full airflow is not required to keep the
engine cool.
