O CLOSE THE PRESSURE COOKER
a)
With the knob screwed fully down and sliding the lid in the opposite direction to
opening, make sure that it is fitted to the body correctly by sliding your fingers
around the edge of it.
b)
Turn the knob clockwise to close it, unit you notice slight pressure. Now lock it
securely by turning the knob an additional 1 1/2 to 2 turns, you will notice that
the lid is now secure.
c)
Place the rotating valve onto the steam pipe which is fixed on the lid.

OOKING IN THE PRESSURE COOKER
a)
Place the traditional pressure cooker on the hob, set to maximum heat.
b)
The cooking time starts when the rotating valve begins to move, allowing steam
to escape. Turn the heat down to a setting where the valve rotates slowly.
c)
It’s normal to see a small amount of steam escape through the safety valve
during cooking.
d)
If you are using a gas hob, make sure the flame does not extend beyond the
base and place the pot in the centre of the hob; this will save energy and
prevent damage to the handles and seal.

ND OF COOKING
When you have finished cooking, remove the rotating valve to allow the pressure
to drop. When all of the steam has escaped follow the instruction given in
“
To open the pressure cooker
”.
Never immerse the pressure cooker in
water.
