Cleaning the Clamping
System
When inserting the instruments, it
may happen that dust enters the
clamping system. This may cause
that instruments can no longer be
inserted deep enough and that a
tight grip is no longer granted. The
result of this often is abrasive wear,
and therefore the clamping system
is to be cleaned every 50 hours of
operation.
For this purpose, screw off the pro-
tective sleeve of the handpiece:
Clean the inside of protective
sleeve and the hull with a dry
scrubber or brush. Now insert care-
fully the provided special drill into
the handpiece.
Turn the drill clockwise while you
hold fast the white plastic part:
Apply only slight pressure when
inserting the drill. The stuck dust will
come loose and by turning the drill it
will come out. During this procedure
hold the handpiece upside down so
that the dust can fall down easily.
After that screw on the metal sleeve
again.
