1.1 Safety Instructions in text
Safety instructions have been added throughout the text where applicable. They are classified according to
importance and designed to help avoid risk to patients and operating staff, while preventing damage to the FUNDUS
MODULE 300
appliance and helping to ensure that it functions safely and remains in perfect working order.

Marking with notified body identification no. indicates the conformity of 93/42/EEC Medical Device
Directive.
Read the instructions for use attentively. Failure to follow these instructions could place the patient or
operator at risk.

1.3 EMC
The FUNDUS MODULE 300 fulfils the requirements on electromagnetic compatibility according to IEC 60601-1-2:
2014 (edition 4.0). The instrument is built so that the generation and emission of electromagnetic interference is
limited to the extent that other devices are not disturbed in their use in accordance with the regulations and so that it
itself has appropriate immunity to electromagnetic interference.

WARNING!
MEDICAL ELECTRICAL SYSTEM needs special precautions regarding EMC and needs to be
installed and put into service according to the EMC information provided.
Portable and mobile RF communications equipment can affect MEDICAL ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.
Fundus Module 300 should not be used adjacent to or stacked with other equipment and that if
adjacent or stacked use is necessary, the EQUIPMENT or SYSTEM should be observed to verify
normal operation in the configuration in which it will be used.
