Maintenance and troubleshooting
Power supply failure
Symptom
The PWR LED for a power supply is not steady green.
The switch uses removable power supplies. To identify the operating status of a power supply on the
switch, observe the PWR1 or PWR2 LED on the front panel of the switch. For more information

Solution
To resolve the issue:
1.
Verify that the power cord is correctly connected.
2.
Verify that the power source meets the requirement.
3.
Verify that the operating temperature of the switch is in an acceptable range and the power
supply has good ventilation.
4.
If the issue persists, contact H3C Support.

Fan tray failure
WARNING!
•
If both fan trays fail during switch operation, replace them within 2 minutes.
•
If one fan tray fails, perform either of the following tasks:
If the ambient temperature is not higher than 27°C (80.6°F), replace the fan tray within 24 hours and
make sure the failed fan tray remains in position before the replacement.
If the ambient temperature is higher than 27°C (80.6°F), replace the fan tray immediately.

replace the fan tray.
Configuration terminal display issues
If the configuration environment setup is correct, the configuration terminal displays booting
information when the switch is powered on. If the setup is incorrect, the configuration terminal
displays nothing or garbled text.

The configuration terminal does not have display when the switch is powered on.
