The SIC-8AS uses the customized cable, which is illustrated by the following figure:

This customized cable is optional. You need to order it when you purchase a SIC-8AS
card.

2.16.5 Connecting the Interface Cable

Warning:

Do not plug or unplug the interface cable of the SIC-8AS card when the router is
running; otherwise, the router and the ports may be damaged.

Step 1: Connect the power cable and telephone cable to the Modem or terminal device.
