Enter Pause Mode from any point in
a document.

Determine approximately how many
lines to Fast Forward.
3.
Press and HOLD DOWN the Pause
Key.
4.
Release the Pause Key.

Resume Reading from the new
location.
How: See Lesson 2a – Steps 5 thru 7.
How: For Example – If you only desire to reach the next
paragraph or topic on a document, then 2 or 3 lines
would likely be sufficient. However, if you desire to
skip to near the end of a document, then many lines
would be needed (perhaps 10 or more).
How: The Pause Key can be found on the keypad at the
Bottom/Right corner (if the keypad cord is pointing
away from you). The Pause Key has a raised pair of
vertical lines on it that you can feel. Press it
completely down and HOLD. In approximately 5
seconds you will begin to hear bells. Each bell that
you hear represents fast-forwarding 1 line. So,
listening for 5 bells to chime would equate to fast-
forwarding 5 lines on the page.
How: Once you have heard the same number of bell
chimes equal to the number of lines you wanted to
fast-forward, simple release the Pause Key.
How: Pressing the Pause Key, again, and quickly
releasing the key will resume the reading of the
document at the new point on the document that
you have navigated to. The Pause Key can be found
on the keypad at the Bottom/Right corner (if the
keypad cord is pointing away from you). The Pause
key has a raised pair of vertical lines on it that you
can feel.
