Safety Instructions Related to the First Putting in Operation
Caution: Never let the pump dry-run. The pump should be submerged in the liquid completely while working.
•
The user shall be held liable before third parties for operating the pump (basins, reservoirs etc.).
•
The pump should be used on connections with a stray current protection switch (FI switch)!
•
Before putting in use, a competent electrician should check that extension cables are available.
•
Connection to the mains via plugging .
•
Check the voltage. Technical data on the plate should conform with the mains voltage.
•
If the pump is used in ponds, fountains etc. or in reservoirs or basins, all the standards in effect in the countries of use should be
observed.
•
Electric pumps for the outdoor use (e.g. ponds) shall be equipped with rubber-coated electric cable type H05RNF,
according to standards DIN 57282 or DIN 57245.
•
No people or animals should be/ be diving in the water to be pumped (pools, cellars etc.).
•
Temperature of the fluid to be pumped should not 35° C. If extension cables are use they should be only of rubber type
H05RNF, according to standards DIN 57282 or DIN 57245. Never pull or hold the pump connected to the mains by the
cable. Mind that the socket should be kept away of water and moisture for the plug to be protected.
•
Before putting the pump in operation check the electric cable and/or the plug for damage.
•
Unplug the pump before doing any work on it.
•
If the pump is built in a gully hole, the hole should be covered up after completion of the job in order to ensure the safety of
pedestrians.
•
Reinforce the drainage tube fixing with a tube clamp. Observe the maximum submersion depth. (see technical data). As a part
of preventive action to be taken (against e.g. flooded space and the like) due to defective operation of the pump (fault or
defects), the owner (user) should take appropriate safety measures (alarm installation, stand-by pump etc.). On sandy or
swampy ground, the pump should work being suspended on a rope or chain or standing on the required support so that the
submerged part is impossible to sink.
•
If the pump is found defective, the repair shall be done by an authorised servicing facility only. Only genuine spare parts should
be used .
•
Please note that according to effective standards, we shall not be held liable for any damage caused by our units if anything
indicated below applies:
