General Information

These instructions provide installation and programming for the Inovonics EchoStream® version North American with a
900MHz frequency and European with a 868MHz frequency wireless receivers.

The North American version can also have its receiver unit and various transmitter protection devices configured to apply
to Australian and New Zealand frequencies.

European transmitter protection devices can be jumper configured to support the older version transmitters alone or the
older versions and the new EchoStream® versions.

The North American/Australia/New Zealand version does not permit mixing old Inovonics equipment with the
EchoStream® version.

For each sensor’s instructions, consult the Inovonic’s instructions packed with each sensor.

The receiver module is used with Chubb/Monitor AFx, ISM and xL security systems and must be connected to their module
bus to enable programming.

Each receiver module supports a maximum of 32 wireless sensors.

Mount the receiver module centrally to the wireless sensors.

Install the receiver module away from large metal objects that can cause interference.

Mounting the receiver module on metal surfaces will impair performance.

This receiver module is intended for indoor use only. Use in outdoor applications may impair performance.

If a wireless sensor reports a ‘low battery’ and the sensor’s battery is replaced, the sensor’s reset button must be pressed
to restore the sensor.
