Operation
System 4 "EAST WEST" with 1 tank, 2 circulating pumps and 4 probes
(No Modulating circulating pump, calculation, no supplementary heating/no elimination of excess heat)
Switching on
Whenever the power to the regulator is switched on, the display will activate all the symbols for 2 seconds; whe-
reas, in the following 5 seconds, the display will indicate the regulator software version.
Standby mode
After the switching on stage, if there are no faults and/or higher priority demands, the regulator goes to standby
mode. The following information will then be displayed:
• Standby display: Hot Water Tank NTC Sensor S2 temperature with range 1÷125°C, symbol S2 will be lit; temperature
of Solar Collector Return NTC Sensor S1 with range 1÷125°C, symbol S1 will be lit.
• Press the Info button for 1 second to display the temperature of Solar Collector A PT1000 sensor S3 with range
1÷180°C, symbol S3 will be lit; temperature of Solar Collector B PT1000 sensor S4 with range 1÷180°C, symbol S4
will be lit.
• Press the Info button for 1 second, and the regulator returns to standby mode.
Operation
Solar Circulating Pump A activation
If the temperature of Hot Water Tank Sensor S2 is lower than the Tank max. temperature parameter value (Installer
parameter, default equal to 60°C) and if the difference (positive) between the temperature of Solar Collector A
Sensor S3 and the temperature of Hot Water Tank Sensor S2 is greater than or equal to the activation tempera-
ture Differential parameter value (Installer parameter, default equal to 6°C) then the ECOTRONIC tech regulator
activates the Solar Circulating Pump A.
To signal this mode, the Solar Circulating Pump symbol will be lit together with symbol A.
Solar Circulating Pump A deactivation
If the temperature of Hot Water Tank Sensor S2 is lower than the Tank max. temperature parameter value (Instal-
ler parameter, default equal to 60°C) and if the difference (positive) between the temperature of Solar Collector
A Sensor S3 and the temperature of Solar Collector Return Sensor S1 is less than or equal to deactivation
Temperature differential parameter value (Installer parameter, default equal to 4°C) then the ECOTRONIC tech
regulator deactivates Solar Circulating Pump A.
If the temperature of Hot Water Tank Sensor S2 is higher than or equal to the Tank max. temperature parameter
value (Installer parameter, default equal to 60°C) then the ECOTRONIC tech regulator deactivates Solar Circu-
lating Pump A.
To signal this mode, the Solar Circulating Pump symbol will go off together with symbol A.
Solar Circulating Pump B activation
If the temperature of Hot Water Tank Sensor S2 is lower than the Tank max. temperature parameter value (Installer
parameter, default equal to 60°C) and if the difference (positive) between the temperature of Solar Collector B
Sensor S4 and the temperature of Hot Water Tank Sensor S2 is higher than or equal to activation Temperature
differential parameter value (Installer parameter, default equal to 6°C) then the ECOTRONIC tech regulator
activates Solar Circulating Pump B.
To signal this mode, the Solar Circulating Pump symbol will be lit together with symbol B.
Solar Circulating Pump B deactivation
If the temperature of Hot Water Tank Sensor S2 is lower than the Tank max. temperature parameter value
(Installer parameter, default equal to 60°C) and if the difference (positive) between the temperature of Solar Col-
lector Sensor S4 and the temperature of Solar Collector Return Sensor S1 is less than or equal to deactivation
