Operation
The infrared electronics emit invisible, pulsed light.
The sensor system is adjusted so that water flow is
initiated when the hands approach the vicinity of the spout.
When the hands are withdrawn from the vicinity of the
spout, water flow is stopped after 1 s (factory setting).
The range of the sensor system is dependent upon the
reflective properties of the detected object.
Automatic safety shut-off
After 60 s (factory setting) of continuous detection of an object,
the infrared electronics automatically stop the water flow.
Maintenance
Shut off the water supply and switch off the voltage
supply.
Inspect and clean all components and replace if necessary.
I. Battery (Prod. No. 36 271)
Batteries which are almost discharged are indicated
by a flashing indicator lamp in the sensor system.
1. Pull battery housing (G) out of bracket (G1) and detach
electronics cable (E2), see fold-out page II, Fig. [11].
2. Remove lid (G3) of battery housing (G), as shown
in Fig. [11].
3. Remove battery (G2) and replace.
Assemble in reverse order.
II. Solenoid valve
1. Disconnect plug-in connector between the electronics
and solenoid valve (A), see fold-out page II, Fig. [12].
2. Unscrew the hose union nut from solenoid valve (A).
3. Unscrew nipple (B) from the service valve and replace
solenoid valve (A), see Fig. [13].
For installation, see section Installation.
III. Filter
1. Unscrew nipple (B) from the service valve, see fold-out
page II, Fig. [14].
2. Remove filter (D) and clean or replace.
Assemble in reverse order.
Replacement parts
, see fold-out page I
