Another option is a "direct mount" (see example
below) where the machine is secured directly to
the workbench with lag screws and washers.
The base of this machine has mounting holes
that allow it to be fastened to a workbench or
other mounting surface to prevent it from moving
during operation and causing accidental injury or
damage.
The strongest mounting option is a "Through
Mount" (see example below) where holes are
drilled all the way through the workbench—and
hex bolts, washers, and hex nuts are used to
secure the machine in place.

"
Assembly
The Model G0889/G0889Z comes partially
assembled. The cutterhead elevation crank and
dust port must be installed before operating the
planer.
To assemble planer:
1. Place cutterhead elevation crank on eleva-
tion shaft, and secure crank with M5-.8 x
20 cap screw and 5mm flat washer from
included hardware (see
Figure 10). Do not
over-tighten.
2. Press elevation crank knob cap onto crank
handle (see
Figure 10).
3. Slide dust port onto fan housing, making sure
to align bolt tabs (see Figure 11), and tighten
pre-installed hex bolt and hex nut.
