Downfeed Controls
Identification
A. Fine downfeed handwheel
B. depth stop and scale

Depth Stop
the depth stop limits the downward movement
of the cutting tool. With the use of the depth stop
adjustment knob (see “
D” in Figure 13), it can be
positioned anywhere within 0"–5". this is useful
when performing the same operation multiple
times or with tapping operations.
Using Coarse Downfeed
1. loosen quill lock lever.
2. Loosen downfeed selector knob to engage
coarse downfeed handles.
3. position depth stop with adjustment knob.
4. use coarse downfeed handles to raise and
lower spindle.
Using Fine Downfeed
1. loosen quill lock lever.
2. Tighten downfeed selector knob to engage
fine downfeed handwheel.
3. position depth stop with adjustment knob.
4. rotate fine downfeed handwheel to raise and
lower spindle.
