Changing Grinding Wheel

To change the grinding wheel:
1. DISCONNECT GRINDER FROM POWER!
2. Use the wrench on the left-hand side of the
motor arbor to keep it from turning, then
rotate the grinding wheel counterclockwise
to remove it from the arbor, as shown in
Figure 17.
3. Store the grinding wheel in a safe, dry loca-
tion that is not exposed to extreme tempera-
tures.
4. Visually check the replacement wheel for
cracks, soft spots, excessive wear, or any
other damage—if you are not sure about the
condition of the wheel, DO NOT use it!
5. Thread the wheel onto the motor arbor and
only hand-tighten it.
Note:
The force of the bit against the coun-
terclockwise rotation of the wheel will keep it
safely on the arbor.

To avoid serious personal injury from flying
wheel or drill bit debris, ALWAYS use the
correct grinding wheel diameter for the size
of the drill bit.
