INTRODUCTION
This automatic welding helmet features spectrum filtering technology, optoelectronic detectors and solar cell
supply. Automatic welding helmet is used to protect eyes and face from radiation produced during arc welding
and from harmful optical radiation.
SAFETY RULES
Before welding:
1. Before use read the manual carefully and make sure you understand all of its contents.
2. Before first use of the helmet remove protective foil from the protective glass on both sides of the self-
darkening filter.
3. Make sure all pieces of the welding helmet are properly fixed and work as expected.
4. Adjust helmet straps to the size of your head.
When welding:
1. Self darkening welding helmet is not designed for laser welding and gas welding (oxyacetylene welding).
2. Never place the welding helmet and self darkening filter on hot surface.
3. Do not modify the filter or the helmet in a way that is not described in the manual. Unauthorized modi-
fications and replacement of components may void the warranty and expose the helmet user to serious
danger of body injury and vision loss.
4. In case the helmet does not darken automatically and instantly when arc ignites, stop working and hand
the helmet over to a service point.
5. Before each use make sure the external protective glass is fixed to the welding helmet. Protective glass
must be installed to protect the filter against damages.
6. Replace the external protective glass when it is broken, scratched or damaged.
7. Protect the welding helmet and its components against solvents. Use soft, damp cloth for cleaning.
8. Protect the welding helmet against water and moisture.
9. Working temperature should be in range -5°C to +55°C.
10. Clean the filter surface on a regular basis, do not use detergents. Keep the sensors and solar cells clean,
make sure they are not obstructed. Use lint free cloth for cleaning.
11. The welding helmet is not designed to protect from high speed objects.
CAUTION! Do not use the welding helmet for grinding.
12. The welding helmet does not protect against caustic or explosive materials.
