The appliance is equipped with an "Air-Break" device to

prevent non-potable water (it may be polluted with deter-

gent) from returning in the water network due to nega-

tive pressure.

This device (the image shows the one with rectangular

section) has a rear outlet from which steam can exit dur-

ing heating.

This device is also important for a correct reading of the

water levels.

4.9

AIR-BREAK AND WATER CONNECTION OF THE PUMPS FOR DOSING THE

LIQUID DETERGENT

The appliances equipped with pump control option for

dosing chemical detergents are provided with terminals

to manage signals required for the automatic dosing unit

operation. These terminals are found on the rear close to

the main electric connection. Refer to the adhesive plate

on the appliance for the details of the electric connection

and of the main electric layout attached to this manual.

4.10  ELECTRIC CONNECTION OF THE PUMPS FOR DOSING THE LIQUID DETER-

GENT.

Attention!

•

Never cover the outlet under any

circumstances (the steam gener-

ated during heating can create

pressure and affect the measured

water level).

•

The steam that exits during the

washing programme may reach

very high temperatures.

All the appliance models are set up for the hydraulic connection of the pumps to dose the liquid detergent

automatically.

There are 13 specific inlets for this function located on the rear part of the appliances, next to the "Air-Break"

device. Three different diameters are available to allow the connection of different sections of pipe that can

be provided with the automatic dosing systems. Thanks to this connection, the chemical products used to

clean and wash the garments are always mixed with water at the tub inlet; therefore, they are never too

concentrated when they come into contact with the fabric in the drum.

Attention!

•

Before connecting the intake pipe of the liquid detergent, remove the internal

membrane that plugs the hole by applying light pressure with a tool (screw-

driver, for example).

•

Every hole is provided with its membrane to be removed if the hole must be

used for connection.

•

All the internal connection set ups merge into the MIXER; therefore, the choice

is indifferent.
