optimize battery life. A battery that is maintained by charging after each used will achieve a
longer life than one that is kept in a discharged state. Never store the battery for an extended
period completely discharged.
2. After several years of use it will be necessary to replace your inverter batteries. It is
recommended to use the same type and size batteries as originally installed to ensure proper
system performance.

The air conditioning system operates on AC current only; therefore, the inverter or dockside
power must be in use. Before powering up the air conditioning system, the air conditioning
seacock located in the aft bilge compartment must be opened to supply the unit with raw
water. The air conditioner switch on the 110V AC panel will activate the two knob air
conditioning control panel located in the head compartment. The top knob on the control
panel is used to turn the air conditioner on while the bottom knob is used for thermostat
control. The supply vent is located on the forward wall of the head sink cabinet and the return
vent is located on a faux wall located inboard of the head inlet and discharge seacocks. The air
conditioning unit is located behind the same faux wall. The condensation drain for the unit
drains to the shower sump located in the forward bilge compartment. See
“Air Conditioner
Layout” on page 8–30
for a layout of the air conditioning system.

If your boat is removed from the water, leaving the seacock open will drain the water in the air
conditioning system. This may cause an airlock in the air conditioner water pump in subsequent
operation. To prevent this drainage, close the air conditioner seacock. If the boat is being
winterized, leave the seacock open so the water can drain. Then, remove any remaining water by
blowing pressurized air through the system. See the Operation and Maintenance Manual included
in your Owner’s Packet for additional winterizing information.

To avoid restriction due to debris in the raw water intake strainer, turn off the air conditioner and
close the intake seacock while docking or operating in shallow water.
