Disassembly
To avoid crushing injuries or muscle strains, use
caution when disconnecting the lower. It can weigh
up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
1.
Stop the pump at the bottom of its stroke.
2.
Relieve the pressure.

Pressure Relief Procedure, page 14
3.
Disconnect the hoses from the lower and plug
the ends to prevent fluid contamination.
4.
Remove clip (2) and slide coupling cover (10) up
to remove the coupling (11).
5.
Unscrew the nuts (8) and remove the lower (7).
Use a wrench to hold the tie rod flats to keep the
rods from turning.
To repair the lower, see the Xtreme Lower instruction
manual 311762. There are no user-serviceable parts
in the motor. Contact your Graco representative for
assistance.
