Bearings
(Figure 4)
The bearings were fully lubricated when shipped
from the factory. Lubricate the bearings after every
1,500 hours of service. To lubricate the bearings,
remove the plastic covers from the grease fittings
(19 and 30) and be sure the fitting and the end of
the grease gun are clean.
Use only a hand-operated grease gun and pump
approximately 6 pumps of No. 2 extreme pressure
grease through each grease fitting. Do not over-lu-
bricate. Excess grease will be forced through the
bearings and into the bearing cavity. If too much
grease is retained in the bearing cavity, the bear-
ings can over-heat, resulting in premature bearing
failure.
