3.5 Setup Infrared Remote Control for GoTV
You can use your TV’s infrared (IR) remote control to control the GoTV Audio Sender, a Soul Way sound bar, or a Soul Way and
Soul Shaker that have been clustered together.
You can use your TV’s infrared remote control to increase the volume, decrease the volume or mute the audio through the GoTV
Audio Sender. Follow these steps to train your GoTV to listen to the volume and mute commands from your IR remote.
1)
Get your IR remote ready.
2)
Disconnect the USB power and audio input cables from the GoTV Audio Sender. If GoTV senses that an audio cable is con-
nected at power up, it continues in normal operation. GoTV will only start the learning mode if it’s powered on without an audio
cable connected to its 3.5mm input.
3)
Plug USB into a power source. The GoTV LED indicator will flash twice, ready to learn.
4)
Press and release the following remote control buttons in sequence:
i. Volume
↑
ii. Volume
↓
iii. Mute

GoTV’s LED status indicator will briefly flash after each press and release. After pressing Mute on your remote control, GoTV’s
LED will stay on solid for 2 seconds, confirming the learning process is complete.
6)
Insert the 3.5mm audio cable into the GoTV transmitter’s input jack and start playing audio.
You can disable infrared learning if you click the same button twice on your remote control during the learning procedure. To skip
learning and use your previously learned IR commands, make sure an audio cable is plugged into GoTV before connecting power.
If at any point in the sequence, GoTV does not see a button press for more than 15 seconds, the LED will flash twice and infrared
learning will be disabled. If GoTV sees at least one button press and no second or third button press within 14 seconds, the LED
will flash four times and all previously learned IR commands will be erased. If GoTV sees the same button pressed twice in a row,
the LED will flash four times and all previously learned IR commands will be erased. Use steps 1 and 2 above again to restart the
learning procedure.
GoTV will remember previously learned infrared commands even while powered off.
4. Playing from Smartphones, Tablets, and Computers
4.1 Quick start guide
a)
Insert a GoRave Audio Sender into your device.
b)
Play audio on your device.
c)
Double-click the Pair/Bond button on the Soul Way. The LED status indicator should turn bright amber and you will hear your
audio playing from the Soul Way sound bar.
d)
Press and hold the Pair/Bond button for 3 seconds to add your Audio Sender to the Soul Way’s Favorites List. The LED will
turn bright green.
e)
Press the Connect button four times to put the Soul Way into “All Play” mode. The LED will turn red.
