Things to Consider Prior to Mounting
PASSIVE INFRARED (PIR) SENSOR ZONE
THE FIXTURE USES A
PASSIVE INFRARED (PIR)
MOTION SENSOR AND AS SUCH
DETECTS CHANGES IN INFRARED
RADIATION OF WARM OBJECTS MOVING
ACROSS THE DETECTION ZONES.
The PIR sensor can be triggered by a variety of sources
including dryer vents, hot tubs, idling vehicles, etc.
The PIR sensor
CANNOT detect motion through plexiglass,
plastic, or glass barriers.
DO NOT aim the PIR toward areas with pedestrian and motorized traffic
and/or other objects that generate heat.
DO NOT mount near nighttime light sources (street lights, traffic). Light
sources can cause the light to operate in daylight mode.
How to Install/Replace the Batteries
Loosen the adjustable knob by turning
counterclockwise towards the "OPEN" position
until the battery cover can freely be removed.
Insert 4 new alkaline D cell batteries (not
included) into the battery compartment and
orient them in accordance with the “+” and “-”
markings located in the battery compartment.
Once in place, reattach the battery
compartment cover and turn the knob
clockwise towards the "LOCK" position to
tighten the cover.
Use alkaline batteries only. Do not use
carbon zinc batteries and DO NOT mix
battery type.
