4.3.1 Bottom PTO
Use of couple the cultivator and to hitch a trailer.
Lever n.6 fig.1 can be used for the following selections:
Separate PTO
- Fast: 892 Rpm with engine at 3000 Rpm
- Slow: 546 Rpm with engine at 3000 Rpm
Synchronized
There are 6 speeds synchronized with the gearbox. Ratio
between wheel Rpm and PTO: 1:4.1
Turning direction:
anticlockwise with forward gears
clockwise with reverse
WARNING!:
The rotary cultivator has a
safety device
that prevents
the reverse gear from being engaged when the PTO is engaged during normal
turning direction (rotary cultivating)
Therefore, before engaging reverse, put the PTO in neutral (lever n.6 fig.1).
Device n.1 fig.4 prevents the synchronized PTO from being accidentally
engaged when the machine is in reverse. Therefore, during normal operation of
the rotary cultivator, this device must be engaged-ie, with pin n.2 in the position
shown in fig.4.
In the agricultural machine configuration, to have a synchronized PTO, move
this pin to the position shown in fig.5.
4.3.2 Top PTO
Use mainly to connect to an irrigation pump.
Operates with the gear lever (n.4 fig.1).
To have the PTO run with the rotary cultivator stopped (coupled with an irrigation
pump), put the left gear lever in neutral and then move the right lever for the
following speeds (see fig.3):
1402 Rpm with clockwise turning direction and engine at 3000 Rpm.
683 Rpm with anticlockwise turning direction and engine at 3000 Rpm.
3000 Rpm wi0th anticlockwise turning direction and engine at 3000 Rpm.
4.4 DIFFERENTIAL LOCK
(for models with differential).
The differential is locked by moving lever n.9 fig.1, forward even with the
machine moving.
If one wheel is slipping more than the other, stop the forward movement before
locking the differential.
To release the differential, pull the lever back.
The differential lock is particularly useful on wet ground or when one of the two
wheels slips. The differential lock gives the machine better traction under these
conditions.
