MAINTENANCE

Your Alero needs some basic attention to ensure it provides reliable service.  We recommend
your power wheelchair is checked regularly for maintenance requirements and also receives a
thorough annual check up by your Golden Authorized Dealer.

Regular Maintenance

1.

Make sure power is off before performing any maintenance.

2.

Check the joystick to make sure it is not bent or damaged and that it returns to center
when you release it.  See a Golden Authorized Dealer if there is any problem.

3.

Check the rubber boot around the base of the joystick for damage.  Visually inspect the
boot.  Do not handle or try to repair it.  See a Golden Authorized Dealer if there is any
problem.

driving through wet, sandy or muddy conditions.

apply liquid cleaners or solvents directly to the control box,
battery charger or any electrical connections.

6.

that they are secured properly.  Make sure there are no frayed or cut wires.  See a
Golden Authorized Dealer if there is any problem.
