OPERATION OF EQUIPMENT
How to use the Jet Hand I
1) Connect the triple terminal with spray of the
delivery unit to the quick coupling located on the back
part of the Jet Hand I.
2) Removing the cover (02) add sodium bicarbonate
to the container in a sufficient quantity for prophylaxis,
i.e. 12g.
3) In order to activate the Jet Hand I it is necessary
to remove it from the support and then press the foot
control of the delivery unit.
4) In order to activate the Jet Hand I through the
delivery unit with the “chip-blower” foot control it is
necessary to press the key downwards (A) and the lever
to the right (B) together. It will activate activate the air
and water high rotation terminal (spray).
5) Adjust the water outflow through the valve
located on the triple terminal with the spray (05).
6) In order to couple or uncouple the bicarbonate Jet
handpiece, pull the device from the body of the Jet in
the direction indicated (A), and them pull the handpiece
(B) in the opposite direction.
ATTENTION: In order to avoid clogging, don’t add
more than 12g of bicarbonate. Bicarbonate level can be
checked through the transparent lid.
Use of the bicarbonate jet
Bicarbonate jet removes dark stains from teeth,
caused by tobacco, coffee, tea, etc. related to plaque. In
order to obtain better results of its use, we recommend
a distance of 5mm between the handpiece and the
teeth, with an angle from 30 to 45º, describing circular
movements over the teeth.
The bicarbonate jet must be directed to the occlusal
edge and not to the gingival edge in order to avoid an
unpleasant sensation to the patient.
This equipment shall not be used with patients
suffering from respiratory or renal diseases, or under
hemodialysis treatment. These cases must be surveyed
by a physician.
We recommend the use of safety goggles and mask
when using the bicarbonate jet.
