5.2.5 Gas Nozzle

Gas is delivered to the instruments by the GDU

net

via the outlet

nozzle. When the instrument is located correctly in the tray the

nozzle ‘O’ ring ensures there is a seal between the nozzle and

the instrument, therefore no gas leakage.
There may be occasions were the nozzle ‘O’ ring may be

damaged and can cause leaks resulting in instruments not

passing the Leak Test. This would normally be regarded as user

maintenance and a supply of ‘O’ rings should be provided near

the GDU

net

to enable users to change these on a regular basis,

e.g. monthly.
