Using the To Hub Port on your Ethernet Output Module
The following diagram illustrates how to set up your connection through
the
6Q*WD
port on your Ethernet Output Module.

In figure 1.13, a category 5 cable is connected from the
61*7$
port on
the Ethernet Output Module. The cable is then connected to a hub or
switch. Various media encoders running different encoding software can
be connected to the hub or switch via one of their network cards. Each of
the media encoders connect to a broadband server using another installed
network card. From the broadband server, files are either archived for
audio and video on demand or used for live streaming.
Installing the Software onto the Encoder
Your GlobeCaster comes with software that you’ll need to install onto the
encoder. Follow these steps for installation:
1.
Insert the Software Install Disc (disc 1) into the CD-ROM on your
encoder.
2.
Launch Windows Explorer and locate the folder called
%NKGPV
on this
disc.
