FIG. 1 – Set up
Open the 3 tripod legs as shown in figure 1.
FIG. 2 & 3 – Leg angle adjustment
Each leg can be set at 2 angles of spread. To change from first to second
angle, pull the leg down (2) and open it as shown in figure 3 (pull&fix system).
FIG. 4 – Mounting the camera
Mount the camera on the head using 1/4” screw “A”.

The gear “B” locks the movement of the head.
To release the ball for positioning the camera, rotate the gear “B” anticlockwise
direction. Once the desired position is achieved, lock the ball by rotate the gear
“B” in a clockwise direction.
Maximum stability is achieved when legs are set on the second angle.
Fig. 7, 8 & 9 – How to remove the head
The head can be removed (fig. 7) in order to mount the camera directly on the
tripod. Using the TORX key supplied with the tripod, unscrew the screw “C”
(fig. 8) and remove the head. Before mounting the camera or the Gitzo Traveler
ball head, screw down the screw “D” (with Allen key supplied with the product)
until it disappears (fig. 9). Mount the adapter “Z” (supplied with the product) into
the ball head thread for assembling the Gitzo traveler ball head GH1382TQD.
