PROGRAMMING TO AN ANEMOMETER GC116I 

 

Fully extend the awning to ensure smooth operation, and then retract the awning 

leaving it partially open (about 3 feet). 

Locate the P2 Button on the back of the motor controller. 

Set the wind speed dial between 1 and 2 on the anemometer. (See Fig.1 above). The 

higher this dial is set, the stronger the wind must be before the awning will retract. 

 

Note; when carrying out this part of the procedure each step must be 

executed within 10 seconds of the previous one or the module will revert to 

factory settings. It is highly recommended that you read and understand the 

following sequence before attempting to execute it. 

1)

 

Connect the Anemometer to a 12V DC Power source. (The Red LED will flash 

once when power is connected) 

2)

 

Press the P2 button on the back of the motor controller (The green LED will start 

to blink ) 

3)

 

Press the STOP button on the motor controller (The green LED will stop blinking 

and remain illuminated) 

4)

 

Press the up button on the Anemometer to retract the awning or physically 

activate it by spinning the cups.
