Baffle Filter should be cleaned daily. Place in sink and clean with a mild, bio-degradable, degreaser. Dry filter
thoroughly and reinstall in the unit. Generally, the Baffle Filter may be washed in a dishwasher.
Ensure that Baffle Filter is thoroughly dry before reinstalling in the hood. NEVER PLACE A WET FILTER INTO
THE HOOD!

!! IMPORTANT NOTE
•
The WASH/CHECK lights are NOT intended to be used as a signal for routine cleaning of the EAC cell. To
maintain peak performance, the cell must be cleaned daily, or as otherwise recommended. When the
WASH/CHECK lights are ON the cell is too dirty to function and power to the appliance is about to be
shutdown.
ON Light is ON to indicate the EAC Filter Cell is in
place, powered and operating properly to clean the
airstream through the Hood. This is the only status
light illuminated during normal operation.
WASH/CHECK
When t
hese (2) lights are illuminated, an abnormal
condition exists with the EAC system. The typical
cause is excessively dirty collection fins in the cell;
cleaning is required. Other conditions can also
cause this alarm ... poor connection at contacts,
damaged cell, wiring issues, component failure,
etc. When these lights are
ON the EAC filter is not
functioning to clean the airstream.
After approximately 2 minutes, a “beeping” tone
alarm will begin sounding and shortly thereafter,
power to the appliance will be shutdown until the
condition is corrected. The hood fan will continue
running, but the amber

will turn OFF .
