1. opens the spectral set-up window
2. on/off of spectral measurement
3. wavelength range:
Set-up of the measured and displayed
wavelength range (max 365 to 765nm)
and spectral resolution (5nm recom-
mended for color measurements)
4. gain ranging ‘auto’:
Automatic adjustment of integrating
time. For unknown flux levels auto
ranging is recommended. Low signal
levels will create longer measurement
times.
5. pulse synchronization
Selected in case of modulated light
source at fixed frequency.
6/7. confirmation or canceling of set-up
1. gain ranging ‘manual’:
Manual gain ranging
is recommended
in applications were the flux level is
known. A fixed diode array integration
time avoids very long measurement
times that can reach up to 120s (2x60s
in case of on-line offset) for low signals.
If manual gain is selected the integra-
tion time representing the diode array
sensitivity must be set. Select the same
integration time as that displayed dur-
ing a measurement under autorange
setting. The array signal level is also
displayed on the measurement screen
to avoid errors caused by saturation or
low signal to noise ratio.
2. use constant offset:
In manual mode measurements with a
constant offset value can be selected to
reduce measurement time.
1. If
use constant offset
is activated the
dark signal must be measured. The
dark signal measurement is done ac-
cording to the integration time set. If the
integration time is changed the dark
signal must measured again to reduce
measurement uncertainty!
