Gigahertz-Optik’s object oriented software G.O.O.S. is the basis for remote control application of many of Gigahertz-Optik’s
products. The main concept is hardware and functional DLLs with a graphical user interface (GUI). The G.O.O.S. version for
the remote operation of the BTS256-LED supports the set-up of the LED tester, measurement routine, data display and pres-
entation as well as documentation. The following pages describe the available tools and their use. The installation of the
G.O.O.S. software and the required interface support software is described in the manual appendix.

Software for Remote Control Measurements and Documentation
Version 01.2009-01
The G.O.O.S. start screen displays the
control and measurement functions
specific to system set-up as supplied.
For example, if only the BTS256-LED
tester was ordered only those functions
specific to this instrument are available,
all others are inactive.
The Phi (
Φ
= Luminous Flux) button
opens the configuration window. Before
first measurement the available items
must be configured or at least checked.
The setup configuration is stored for
following measurements even if the
G.O.O.S. is switched off.
Measurement Device includes the
BTS256-LED tester set-up.
The BTS256-LED offers an integral and
spectral measuring sensor that need to
be set-up in the configuration window.
1. Open the integral set-up window
2. a(Z) correction
Online -
recommended for regular use
fix
value - recommended for flux meas-
urements with integral detector only
when short integration time is needed,
e.g. for fast data logging measurements
3. integration time
The integration time of the integral de-
tector read-out electronics can be se-
lected.
4. pulse synchronization
Selected in case of modulated light
source with a fixed frequency
5/6. confirmation or canceling of set-up
Opens the configuration window for
BTS256-LED measurement device,
data logger and substitution correc-
tion as well as for accessories, e.g.
lamp power supplies
