8. Press the power switch to the
OFF ( ) position.
9. Unplug.
10. Carefully wipe base and cord
with a damp cloth or sponge.
Dry. Wash all removable parts
with hot, soapy water. Rinse
and dry.
TROUBLESHOOTING
• Check that the plug has been inserted correctly into the
outlet and that the power switch is in the ON (I) position.
• Espresso maker is in power-saving mode. Press espresso or
lungo button.
PROBLEM
No power.
Espresso is not
dispensing.
There is water
at the bottom
of the machine.
The capsule
cannot be
placed into
capsule holder.

A slight hiss can

PROBABLE CAUSE/SOLUTION
• The capsule inserted may be faulty. Try again with a new
capsule.
• No water in the water reservoir. Fill water reservoir with clean
water.
• Unit is preheating. Wait for the espresso and lungo buttons to
turn solid.
• Make sure that the reservoir has been placed correctly into
position.
• Check if the used capsule container is full and needs to be
emptied. The handle may not have opened correctly.
Try opening handle again.
• Check if the used capsule container is full and needs to be

• This is a function of the espresso maker which is normal.
• This is normal and the dripping will stop. Keep the cup on the
cup rest until dripping stops.
• Water reservoir is empty or reservoir is not securely in place.
Add water to water reservoir. Place water reservoir
securely in base.
