Troubleshooting 8-12

Check the volume control of your computer.

Startup Problems

When you turn on the computer, it does not respond and the Power
Indicator does not light blue.

If you are using an external AC power, make sure that the AC adapter
is correctly and securely connected. If so, make sure that the electrical
outlet works properly.

If you are using the battery power, make sure that the battery is not
discharged.

When you turn on the computer, it stops after POST.

Restart your computer.

The message “

Operating system not found

” appears on the

screen after you turn on the computer.

If this message appears when you are booting from the hard disk,
insert a bootable disc in the DVD drive and check the condition of the
hard disk.

The message “

Invalid system disk

” or “

Disk error

” appears

on the screen after you turn on the computer.

If you are deliberately trying to boot from a disc, replace the disc with
a bootable one and press any key to continue booting.

If this message appears when you are booting from the hard disk,
insert a bootable disc in the DVD drive and check the condition of the
hard disk.
