System Requirements
sum.mation requires a computer and a DAW of course, and an available
USB port. Beyond that, a Mac running OS 10.6 and above. For Windows,
a PC running Windows 7.
Installation
Once you have downloaded the plug-ins from the downloads section of
the website, simply run the installer, which will place each plug-in version
in the appropriate folder for each DAW application.
On the Mac:
RTAS plug-ins go here: Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-ins
AAX plug-ins go here: Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins
Logic Pro AU plug-ins go here: Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
VST plug-ins go here: Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST
On Windows:
RTAS plug-ins go here: Program Files/Common Files/Digidesign/DAE/Plug-

Pro Tools 10 users will notice a dialog window at launch saying “Pro Tools
could not load the following plug-ins because no valid authorization could
be found: sum.mation.aaxplugin”. This is because there is no 32 bit AAX
version for Pro Tools 10 (only RTAS) and it has no idea what to do with a
64 bit aax plug-in. Simply ignore the message, or if you’re not using Pro
Tools 11 yet, you can move the plug-in to the unused plug-ins folder.
