Side Effects 

 

 

If there are no contraindications and the examination is carried 

out in accordance with the descriptions in the IFU, side effects 
rarely occur in pulmonary function examinations. These can be 
described as follows:

Rules of conduct 

 

Dizziness, syncope /  
on a case-by-case basis 

Examinations should preferably be performed 

in a sitting position and the patient should be 
permanently observed during the examination. 

Spontaneous 

pneumomediastinum, 

pneumopericardium and 
subcutaneous emphysema 

in spirometry /  
in extremely rare cases 

Investigate any persistent dyspnea that occurs 
after the examination.
