Close the rear entry gate.

Open the front entry gate and prop open.

Press the drive function button  
(if equipped).

Press and hold the function enable switch on 
the control handle.

Slowly move the drive control handle in the 
direction indicated by the blue arrow, and then 
in the direction indicated by the yellow arrow. 

 

Result: The machine should not move in the 
direction indicated by the blue arrow, or the 
yellow arrow.

Press and hold the drive/steer function enable 
switch on the control handle.

Press the thumb rocker switch on top of the 
control handle in the direction indicated by the 
blue triangle, and then in the direction 
indicated by the yellow triangle. 

 

Result: The steer wheels should not turn in the 
direction indicated by the blue triangle, or the 
yellow triangle.

Activate the platform up function, and the 
platform down function. 

 

Result: The platform up function and the 
platform down function should not operate.

Activate the platform extend function, and the 
platform retract function. 

 

Result: The platform extend function and the 
platform retract function should not work.

Close the front entry gate.

Fully retract the powered extension deck to the 
stowed position (if equipped). 

Fully lower the platform to the stowed position. 

Test the Tilt Sensor Operation 

Note: Perform this test from the ground with the 
platform controller. Do not stand in the platform.

Fully lower the platform.

Place a 2x4 or similar piece of wood under 
both wheels on one side and drive the 
machine up onto them.

Raise the platform approximately 7 ft / 2.1 m 
from the ground. 

 

Result: The platform should stop and the tilt 
alarm will sound at 180 beeps per minute. The 
platform controls LED readout should display 
LL and the ground controls LCD should display 
LL: Machine Tilted.

Press the drive function button  
(if equipped).

Press and hold the function enable switch on 
the control handle.

Move the control handle in the direction 
indicated by the blue arrow, then move the 
control handle in the direction indicated by the 
yellow arrow. 

 

Result: The drive function should not work in 
either direction.

Lower the platform and remove both pieces of 
wood.
