Test the Drive Function Button
44 Press the drive function button.
45 Wait seven seconds for the drive function to
time out.
46 Slowly move the control handle in the direction
indicated by the blue arrow, then in the
direction indicated by the yellow arrow.
Result: No functions should operate.
Test Drive and Braking
47 Press the drive function button
(if equipped).
48 Press and hold the function enable switch on
the control handle.
49 Slowly move the control handle in the direction
indicated by the blue arrow on the control
panel until the machine begins to move, then
return the control handle to the center position.
Result: The machine should move in the
direction that the blue arrow points on the
control panel, then come to an abrupt stop
when the control handle is returned to the
center position.
50 Slowly move the control handle in the direction
indicated by the yellow arrow on the control
panel until the machine begins to move, then
return the control handle to the center position.
Result: The machine should move in the
direction that the yellow arrow points on the
control panel, then come to an abrupt stop
when the control handle is returned to the
center position.
Note: The brakes must be able to hold the
machine on any slope it is able to climb.
Test the Entry Gate Cut-out Function
51 Raise the platform approximately
4 ft / 1.2 m from the ground.
52 Extend the powered extension deck
2 ft / 0.6 m (if equipped).
53 Open the rear entry gate and prop open.
54 Press the drive function button
(if equipped).
55 Press and hold the function enable switch on
the control handle.
56 Slowly move the drive control handle in the
direction indicated by the blue arrow, and then
in the direction indicated by the yellow arrow.
Result: The machine should not move in the
direction indicated by the blue arrow, or the
yellow arrow.
57 Press and hold the function enable switch on
the control handle.
58 Press the thumb rocker switch on top of the
control handle in the direction indicated by the
blue triangle, and then in the direction
indicated by the yellow triangle.
Result: The steer wheels should not turn in the
direction indicated by the blue triangle, or the
yellow triangle.
59 Activate the platform up function, and the
platform down function.
Result: The platform up function and the
platform down function should not operate.
60 Activate the platform extend function, and the
platform retract function.
Result: The platform extend function and the
platform retract function should not work.
