Moving the High Capacity Feeder
8.
Connect the plug of the AC power cord into the AC wall outlet.
9.
Turn the printer on by pressing the [ I ] on the power switch on the right side of the printer.
Moving the High Capacity Feeder
Moving the High Capacity Feeder a Short Distance
Use the following procedure to move the high capacity feeder a short distance:
1.
Turn the printer off by pressing the [ O ] on the power switch on the right side of the printer.
2.
Disconnect the plug of the AC power cord from the AC wall outlet.
3.
Disconnect the printer from the host computer.
4.
Wait 30 minutes for the printer to cool before moving the printer.
5.
Remove the toner cartridge and cover it with an opaque plastic sheet.
6.
Pull up on the wheel tabs to unlock the four caster wheels under the high capacity feeder.
7.
Roll the printer and high capacity feeder to the new location.
8.
Once the printer and high capacity feeder are in the new location, refer to the printer Installa-
tion Guide included in the original packaging to reinstall the printer.
Moving the High Capacity Feeder a Long Distance
1.
Turn the printer off by pressing the [ O ] on the power switch on the right side of the printer.
2.
Disconnect the plug of the AC power cord from the AC wall outlet, and disconnect the AC
power cord from the printer.
3.
Disconnect the printer from the host computer.
4.
Wait 30 minutes for the printer to cool before moving the printer.
5.
Pull up on the wheel tabs to unlock the four caster wheels under the high capacity feeder.
6.
Roll the printer and high capacity feeder to a place where you can easily access all four sides.
7.
Push down on the wheel tabs to lock the four high capacity feeder caster wheels.
8.
Remove the paper tray from the printer
9.
Remove the paper from the high capacity feeder paper trays.
10.
Reach inside the open top tray and locate the two thumbscrews that are at the front left and
front right of the high capacity feeder.
11.
Unscrew the two thumbscrews to release the high capacity feeder from the printer.
12.
With the help of another person, lift the printer off of the high capacity feeder and place it on
the floor or on a strong table.
CAUTION: The printer is extremely heavy. Do not attempt to lift the printer by yourself.
