5. Make sure the belt is properly installed on the pul-
leys.
6. Turn the tension handwheel counterclockwise until
the required tension is achieved.

ADJUSTING THE UPPER BLADE GUARD
The upper blade guard should be adjusted based on
the height of the workpiece. To reduce risks of injury, a
minimum amount of blade should be exposed.
1. Loosen lock knob B and turn knob C to raise or low-
er the guard, and set it 1/8” - 1/4” above the work-
piece.
2. Retighten the lock knob B , before turning on the
saw.

Check the tension by pushing on the belt with your
finger. The belt should not deflect more than 1/2”.

Close the lower door.
