VDSL Rate Adaption
The Seanet Pro software allows three different settings to be
applied to the VDSL link, to cope with different levels of electrical
noise experienced by the cable to the Sonar. The dropdown menu
allows selection of ‘Normal’, ‘Medium Noise’ and ‘High Noise’.
Aux Port A / B
The Gemini 720is contains two additional data ports capable of
bi-directional communication. At present Seanet Pro is only able
to process one of the ports, so the
En
checkbox determines which
Port is actively being used.
Port A is capable of support RS232 or RS485 data
communications. Port B can only support RS232. Both ports are
able to support baud rates between 9600 and 115200, which the
drop down selection being used to confirm the required data rate.
Data being passed through the Gemini will be automatically
decoded by Seanet Pro and displayed in the Gemini application
window to the right of the sonar controls. The data can also be
outputted via the REMV4 program.

communications will take several seconds to find it’s optimum rate. During this
period of rate adaption, the top-left of the Sonar screen will indicate the status
