in the file, whilst the two arrows at the end of the slider can be used to precisely
position the frame being displayed in the file. The frame number can be changed
whilst the file is playing or paused. This control only appears when a file has been
loaded.
The
Speed
control changes the replay speed of the data being replayed by the
software. The maximum speed is 5 x (500% as indicated by the number at the right
hand end of the slider bar). The slider can be grabbed to change the replay speed
quickly, whilst the two arrows at the end of the slider can used to precisely control the
replay speed. The replay speed can be changed whilst the file is playing or paused.
This control only appears when a file has been loaded.
12.3.4. Capture Screen
The
Capture Screen
button sits to the right of the player controls and looks
like a camera. When this button is clicked it will take a full screen image of the
Gemini software screen. This image is stored as a JPEG image in the Images sub-
directory of the log data directory, with a filename of
Gemini_nnnn.jpg
, where
nnnn
is an incrementing index number for the image. For example using a logging
directory of
C:\GeminiData
, the first image captured would be stored in the file
C:\GeminiData\Images\Gemini_0001.jpg
When the image has been captured, the Gemini software will display a message (as
below) giving the name of the file. This message will be displayed for five seconds
and then will close automatically.
12.3.5. Record as .WMV
The
Record as .WMV
button also sits to the right of the player controls and looks
like an old fashioned movie camera on a tripod. WMV capture is only available when
a file is being replayed, WMV capture cannot be performed on live sonar data.
When a file has been loaded and the playback of the file has been paused or stopped,
the WMV capture button will be enabled. When the WMV capture button is clicked,
the WMV capture process will take over the replaying of the data. The WMV capture
process is ended when the WMV capture button is clicked for a second time.
The frame counter will be visible during the WMV capture to allow the selection
of the part of the file to be captured. The WMV will be captured so that the replay
will occur at approximately real time and it is not possible to change the speed of the
playback during capture.
