7.1 Transport

Only transport the diaphragm globe valve
by suitable means. Do not drop. Handle
carefully.

Dispose of packing material according
to relevant local or national disposal
regulations / environmental protection
laws.
7.2 Delivery and performance

Check that all parts are present and
check for any damage immediately upon
receipt.

The scope of delivery is apparent from
the dispatch documents and the design
from the order number.

The performance of the diaphragm globe
valve is checked at the factory.
7.3 Storage
G
Store the diaphragm globe valve free
from dust and moisture in its original
package.
G
Avoid UV rays and direct sunlight.
G
Maximum storage temperature: 40 °C.
G
Solvents, chemicals, acids, fuels or
similar fl uids must not be stored in the
same room as diaphragm globe valves.
7.4 Tools required

7.5 Opening the packaging
The GEMÜ diaphragm globe valve is sealed
in two plastic bags and packed in a box.

Do not open box in the cleanroom!

pointed object. Avoid tearing open the
outer plastic bag!

8 Functional description
The GEMÜ C57 HPW is a diaphragm
globe valve iComLine
®
with a 2-way body.
The diaphragm globe valve has a rising
handwheel, an integrated optical position
indicator and a leak detection hole. All
medium wetted parts are made of PFA or
PTFE. The external bonnet parts are made
of PVDF. The union nuts are available in
PVDF, PFA and C-PFA.
Customized multi-port valve block solutions
on request.
