3.5 Alarms

Fieldbus alarms

The bus failure is signaled via the “bF Bus fault”. alarm. As for CANopen, 

the possible failure causes are:
-  “Bus-off” condition of the CAN line;
-  the “Life Guarding” threshold has been overcome.
The 

I.754  Bus  Flt  Holdoff

  parameter  allows  to  set  a  delay  time  for  the 

intervention of the “bF Bus fault”. alarm.

Drive alarm handling

The optimization or the recovery of the drive alarm conditions are signaled 

via the emergency signal.

This service is active only in “Operational” condition.  There is no signal 

for those events occurred when the communication condition is not “Op-

erational”.

Alarm reset

The alarm reset is one of the drive standard functions. It is possible to reset 

the drive via SDO by sending the value 1 to the 

H.501 IPA1030 

parameter, 

or via PDO by mapping the Alarm reset function on a virtual digital input.
