Without a load, when the switch is on (closed) the external voltage would be dropped across the
switch.
This damages the switch
(Figure 39).

Introduction
The SVi1000 supports a 4-20mA Position Retransmit Feedback option. The retransmit output re-
quires a DC power source (10V~30V) to properly function. The signal could be input into a DCS/
PLC analog input module to read out the current valve position.
The output terminals are polarity sensitive and must be connected only to a DC circuit. The Re-
transmit (+) terminal must be electrically positive with respect to the (–) terminal.
In normal working conditions, the retransmit output follows the valve position by outputting a 4-
20mA analog signal. If the positioner stops working due to lose of loop power or malfunctioning,
the retransmit output stays at around 3.2 mA.
This section discusses the necessary precautions when configuring a system.
CAUTION
An incorrect polarity connection will result in device
not properly functioning or with internal circuitry
damage.
CAUTION
Consult with qualified personnel to ensure that
electrical requirements for the switch are met.
