Using S117

| 31

Enema Administration

Add fluids to the internal reservoir
through the colostomy port.

Follow steps outlined in Section 4.4
“Filling the Internal Reservoirs”.

Practice enema administration with the simulator facing to the side. Use a
lubricated anal nozzle of small diameter to perform the procedure.

Nasogastric and Orogastric Exercises

Nasal and oral openings are
connected to the stomach
reservoir. Insert an appropriately
sized catheter to demonstrate tube
feeding and gastric suction.

Recommended Device Size

Nasal Intubation

10 Fr catheter

Follow the steps from Section 4.4 “Draining the Stomach Reservoir” to
remove the contents from the stomach.
